Detector designing method of compensated neutron logging tool under two kinds of neutron source

Description
It influences parameter designing of compensated neutron detector using isotopic neutron source or neutron generator. Designing method of determining neutron detector source distance is discussed in the paper. Measurement results are compared which done in 3700 calibration vessel under the condition of two kinds of neutron source. The mathematic module is given out to get formation porosity by the ration of counting rate where curve-fitting algorithm is used. It is showed that compensated neutron logging can be realized by using neutron generator instead of isotopic neutron source. (authors)
