Multi-center effects in the excitation and ionization-excitation of helium by fast H+, H+, and H+

  • 1. Univ. of Nevada, Reno, NV (United States)

Description

We compare and discuss recent cross section measurements for the excitation and ionization-excitation of helium by fast H+, H2+, H3+. Multi-center effects for excitation are discussed with regards to phase terms from identical scattering centers and screening/anti-screening contributions as derived from the Born Approximation. These additional contributions have been tested and are valid at high velocities
