Crystallochemical calculation of pressure of metallization of inorganic substances

It was supposed that the pressure under which compression energy equaled dissociation energy of atomic bonds in crystals corresponded to the transition of dielectrics into metal. Limit volumes of AB type crystals and pressure values of the transition of those substances into metallic state were calculated. Theoretical and experimental values of metallization pressure were compared
