Description
In recent times, phase-sensitive optical time domain reflectometers became widely common for monitoring of extended objects and providing necessary measurements in optical telecommunications. In this paper we present our investigations and results in the development and characterization of a new type of laser for phase-sensitive optical time domain reflectometry. (paper)
