Recoil chemistry in ammonium perrhenate crystals: temperature and solvent effects

Description
A retention value of 68% is observed in ammonium perrhenate which has been neutron activated at -550C. Annealing increases this value up to 95% with an activation energy of 0.45 eV. Different dissolution conditions show evidence of a solvent effect, provided the samples have not been annealed. No effects of gamma pre-irradiations are observed, as long as the reactor temperature is low enough. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Die Retention des bei -550C, neutronenaktivierten Ammoniumperrhenats variiert unter dem Einfluss thermischer Ausheilung zwischen 68 und 95%. Die Aktivierungsenergie wurde zu 0,45 eV berechnet. Aus dem Vergleich der Loesungsbedingungen folgt, dass ein Loesungsmitteleffekt dann besteht, wenn die Aufloesung vor der Ausheilung der perturbierten Zone erfolgt, die das aktive Atom enthaelt. Ein spezifischer Effekt vorhergehender γ-Radiolyse wurde nicht festgestellt. (orig.)Additional details
