Latest results from the UA1 experiment on W and Z0 and missing transverse energy events
Description
Latest results of the analysis of the 1982-83 data of the UA1 experiment, related to production of the intermediate vector bosons, are reviewed. These include a complete study of the Z0 decaying into two muons revealing one event with an additional hard photon, observation of events with very large missing transverse energy associated with emission of a jet or photon(s) and comparison of jet activity in the W, Z0 and multijet events. Indications of new phenomena are discussed. (author)
