Description

A description is given of the development of NUMEL-PB, a model simulating the novel and compact helical boiler/reheater pods in the Hartlepool and Heysham AGRs. The model has diverse applications, a number of which are illustrated. It is based upon the CEGB reference one-dimensional boiler code NUMEL, which was described at the 1979 Conference, and has been subsequently enhanced. (author)
