Exploration of the earth by means of neutrino oscillations

Description

Neutrino oscillations in vacuum and matter are formulated in a unified way. At different nadir angles neutrino oscillation probability with two-density model of the earth and cosmic ray (νe + ν-bare)/(νμ + ν-barμ) ratios have been calculated. It is found that the (νe + ν-bare)/(νμ + ν-barμ) ratios depend strongly on the narrow resonant neutrino oscillation energies. (author)
