Sorption characteristics of zirconium oxyhydrate with applicated ions

Description

Influence of application on zirconium oxyhydrate exchange characteristics was studied. The sorption properties of hydrated zirconium dioxide (HZD) regarding bichromate- and polyvanadate-ions was investigated. Experimental equations for isotherms of bichromate- and polyvanadate-ions sorption by zirconium oxyhydrate samples with different history were calculated. A significant influence of the cheical nature of applicant ions and the technique of application synthesis on sorption isotherms was established. The probable mechanism of oxyhydrate matrix interaction with alkali in the applicants wash-out process leading to either increasing or decreasing the selective properties of an exchanger was considered
