Seasonal variation of radioactivity in ground water at Trombay
- 1. Health Physics Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)
Description
Surveillance of bore well water for radioactivity is a regular process to assess the migration of radioactivity into groundwater. Numerous bore wells are dug inside Trombay area and concentration of the radionuclides like 137Cs and 90Sr in ground water is recorded every quarter. The observations for the last five years were compiled and trend in the activity levels in the different quarters was studied. (author)
