Description
The containment after decommissioning of the Lingen reactor is scheduled for a period of about 25 years. The costs of shutdown, demolition, and decontamination and waste management of fuel elements are covered by financial reserves which amount to 191.9 million marks. Theoretical and experimental investigations on air-drying, ventilation, and corrosion inside will not be continued. Suitable parts of the building were made available for the Noell company to decontaminate the 5000 tons of Chernobyl powdered whey. The personnel of KWL was reduced to 5 members at the end of the year under report. (orig.)

Der sichere Einschluss ist fuer einen Zeitraum von rd. 25 Jahren vorgesehen. Die Kosten fuer den Stillegungsbetrieb, den spaeteren Abbruch sowie fuer die restliche Entsorgung der bestrahlten BE sind durch Rueckstellungen in Hoehe von 191.9 Mio DM gedeckt. Die theoretischen und experimentellen Ermittlungen ueber Lufttrocknung, Belueftung und Korrosion in der Anlage werden nicht fortgesetzt. Fuer die Dekontaminierung der 5000 t Molke wurden der Firma Noell Gebaeudeflaechen zur Verfuegung gestellt. Der Personalbestand des KWL betrug zum Jahresende noch 5 Mitarbeiter. (orig.)
