An SU(3) symmetric OBEP with Gaussian core between octet baryons

Description
An SU(3) symmetric one-boson-exchange potential (OBEP) between two octet baryons is presented. In the core region, the Gaussian smooth cutoff of OBEP and the Gaussian soft core are introduced. There are 24 parameters (12 of SU(3) coupling constants and 12 of Gaussian core strengths and range), which are determined by the χ2-fitting to NN phase shifts, deuteron and YN data. The fitting is quite satisfactory an the whole. Some discussions to show characters of the potential are presented. (author)
