The convention on nuclear safety
Description
This article is based on notes for a talk given at Sheridan Park, Ontario. The IAEA Convention on Nuclear Safety binds the contracting countries to maintain a high standard of safety at nuclear facilities, including reactors and waste disposal facilities, to submit safety reports for international review, and to take corrective action, including shutting a nuclear power plant down if necessary, where unsafe conditions exist
