Possible use of optical transition radiation for diagnostics of proton beams of U-70 and UNK accelerators

The results of studies on the optical transition radiation (OTR) of 70-GeV protons are reported. Experiments have demonstrated the feasibility of measuring the parameters of the extracted proton beam of the U-70 accelerator from the OTR, using a digital television method. The possibility of applying OTR to the diagnostics of extracted beams of the UNK accelerator is analyzed
