Thermal characteristics of the release of fluorine-18 from an Inconel-600 gas target
Description
An inconel-600 target was pre-treated by heating to 5000 in neon or hydrogen and cooling isobarically, before being filled with gas mixtures of neon and hydrogen. The recovery profile for 18F depends on the neon/hydrogen ratio and the relation of temperature to the activation temperature for the thermal desorption of F atoms from the target wall. (U.K.)
