Radioactivity monitoring in drinking water in some regions in China during 1995-2009

Description

Radioactivity levels in tap water, well water and spring water in 29 provinces in China during 1995 to 2009 are reported in this paper. The monitoring results showed that the levels of gross alpha and gross beta were below the standard limits on the whole. Compared with their background values and reference Values, the levels of U, Th, 226Ra, 40K, 90Sr and 137Cs all fall in the normal range. (authors)
