Ksub(β)/Ksub(α) intensity ratios for X-ray production by heavy ions

Description
The Ksub(β)/Ksub(α) intensity ratios for low-energy proton (2 MeV) and N-ion (2.8 MeV) bombardments have been measured for several targets. The experimental results indicate the relative importance of K- and M-shell simultaneous ionization. In the paper a qualitative interpretation is given. (Auth.)
