Result from DONUT- Direct Observation of ντ interaction-

Description
Current status of DONUT(FNAL/E872) is reported. We have exposed emulsion target in '97 fixed target run and accumulated neutrino events corresponding to the total proton exposure of ∼ 4.55 x 1017 800GeV protons and the target weight of ∼ 250kg. In the preliminary analysis, we have located 34 neutrimo interactions in Emulsion target and found one event which can be explained as ντ(ντ-bar) + N → τ-(τ+) + X followed by τ- → e- + ντ + νe-bar or τ+ → e+ + νe + ντ-bar
