OPALE, a balloon gamma-ray telescope for the 100 keV - 5 MeV energy range

Description
A fully steerable gamma-ray telescope for celestial sources in the energy range 0.1-5 MeV was constructed in 1973. The results of laboratory tests are given, as well as the results from several balloon flights. (Auth.)
