Description

Using X-ray phase and structural analysis compounds formed in BaO-Nb2O5-P2O5 system are studied. It is shown that in this system at 1200 deg C BaNb2P2O11 compound is formed (trigonal singony, a=5.072(1), c=59.1(1) A, Z=6, sp.gr. R3-barc) that is decomposed to BaO, P2O5x9Nb2O5 ad NbPO5 at the temperature above 1220 deg C. The structure of the latter (tetragonal singony, a=6.383(2), c=4.102(1) A, Z=2, sp.gr. P4/n) was ascertained. BaNb2P2O11 crystal structure was also determined
