Announcement of safety rules of the Kerntechnischer Ausschuss (Rule KTA 1507)

The monitoring concept which has been used as a basis for this regulation shall ensure, that by means of a sufficient and appropriate instrumentation (paragraph 72 Str SchV) all releases of radioactive products relevant under radiological aspects can be detected with sufficient reliability and accuracy. During incidents the measuring devices designed according to this regulation under the aspects of the specified operation even allow statements on the nature and the activity of the released radioactive products at least in the initial phase. Abstract (German)

Das Ueberwachungskonzept, das dieser Regel zugrunde liegt, soll sicherstellen, dass mit Hilfe einer ausreichenden und geeigneten Instrumentierung Paragraph 72 StrSchV alle radiologisch relevanten Abgaben radioaktiver Stoffe mit ausreichender Zuverlaessigkeit und Genauigkeit erfasst werden koennen. Die nach dieser Regel unter den Gesichtspunkten des bestimmungsgemaessen Betriebs ausgelegten Messeinrichtungen ermoeglichen bei Stoerfaellen zumindest in der Anfangsphase noch Aussagen ueber Art und Aktivitaet der abgeleiteten radioaktiven Stoffe.
