Description
This paper describes the synthesis of HMPAO, isolation of the d,l diastereomer by fractional crystallisations and characterisation of the isomers by NMR spectroscopy. Complexation conditions were standardised to get maximum yield of 99mTc-d,l-HMPAO such that it could be used as a radiopharmaceutical. About 80% pure d,l HMPAO could be isolated which gave high complexation yield with 99mTc. (author). 4 refs., 3 tabs
