On estimations on energy density of solar cosmic rays near the Earth

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Zemnogo Magnetizma, Ionosfery i Rasprostraneniya Radiovoln

Description

Data non integral fluxes of solar cosmic rays (SCR) with the energies 105-1010 eV near the Earth for the most powerful solar proton events (SPE) in 1956-1978 have been analyzed by means of satellite, stratospheric and on-land observations. Densities of SCR and geomagnetic field energies in various regions of the magnetosphere are compared. It is shown that in the case of powerful SPE a collective effect of SCR on the mangetosphere is possible
