Reserved periodic magnet-focusing system
Description
Reversed periodic magnet-focusing syste for transporting accelerated charged particle beam, which contains pole pieces and magnets with azimuthal-periodical structure made of magnetically soft material, is described. To increase charged particle beam perveance, each of pole pieces has several holes inside the circular central region. The pole pieces are equipped with annular horns on each side or are produced plane, magnets in neighbouring half-periods of the system are displaced with respect to each other in azimuthal direction
