Acceleration and maxwellization of superthermal electrons during resonance interaction of radiation with a collisionless plasma
- 1. AN SSSR, Gor'kij. Inst. Prikladnoj Fiziki
Description
Results of experimental investigations into energy spectrum of superthermal electrons escaping from plasma resonance region in different directions during interaction with intensive electromagnetic wave plasma are presented. The energy distribution is shown to be described by Maxwell function and has anisotropic character defined by direction and the value of the field in incident wave. Superthermal electron maxwellization mechanism taking account of nonstationary character of high-frequency field in developed Langmuir turbulence is suggested
