Consequences of Langmuir collapse in a laser corona
Description
A Langmuir caviton emits dipole radiation in addition to quadrupole radiation, so that the harmonic lines have an unusual shape. Study of this shape can reveal whether collapse has occurred. The energy of the fast electrons which appear during the collapse is found. Scattering by the cavitons is not responsible for the appearance of fast ions
