Description

We consider the excitation of surface cyclotron waves in a semiinfinite plasma by a charged-particle beam moving over the plasma surface. The growth rate of the beam and dissipative instabilities are calculated in the regions of weak and strong spatial dispersion in the case of Maxwellian and Fermi equilibrium distributions of the plasma particles specularly reflected from the surface
