Diffusion welding of copper-chromium pseudoalloy with copper
Description
Diffusion welded joints of Cu-20% Cr pseudoalloy with copper are investigated. Their strength dependencies on period and temperature isothermal soaking are obtained. Formation of chromium oxides on the pseudoalloy surface is established to be the reason of joint strength decrease with a simultaneous increase of isothermal soaking period. Strain hardening conditions are determined for restoration of pseudoalloy strength after diffusion welding. A method of diffusion welding for production of bimetallic contacts is developed on the basis of the results obtained
