Nuclear dynamics and analysis of neutron scattering by 238U nucleus

Description
An approach is suggested which enables one to describe spectroscopy data as well as scattering data. The collective motion of the nucleus is described within the phenomenological model of soft β- and γ-deformable rotator, the surface hexadecapole modes being also taken into account. The optical potential parameters and quadrupole as well as hexadecapole parameters for the 238U target are obtained
