The International panorama of radioactive waste management
Creators
Description
There is an international consensus that aspects of a very different nature must be addressed for the safe short-and long-term management of rad waste and spent fuel. The technological solutions to be implemented must be accompanied by effective regulatory and legal development, a clear framework of responsibilities and strong financing systems. This general approach has been translated into national programs in which each of these issues under consideration are at differing stages of maturity . (Author) 8 refs
