Uranium favorability of the Fort Union and Wasatch formations in the Northern Powder River Basin, Wyoming and Montana

Description

This report presents the results of a stratigraphic study of the Fort Union Formation (Paleocene) and the overlying Wasatch Formation (Eocene) in the northern part of the Powder River Basin. Stratigraphic characteristics were studied and mapped in the subsurface to determine the nature and extent of favorable uranium host rocks
