Can potential pockets explain 'nuclear sticking'
Description
The theory of the origin of the time delays needed in semiclassical calculations of heavy-ion-produced positrons is reviewed. Earlier calculations predicted positron line intensities which were too small by orders of magnitude. It is shown that natural improvements of the theory tend to increase the discrepancy. (author)
