The development of thermal-γ irradiation simultaneous ageing test technology for nuclear grade cable

  • 1. China Institute of Atomic Energy, Beijing (China)

Description

Nuclear grade cable is one of the key components that relate to the NPP safety operation, Long-term thermal and γ radiation simultaneous ageing is the main reason that causes the nuclear grade cable degradation and even malfunction. And thermal-γ simultaneous ageing test technology is the key technology of top priority that need to be solved for the nuclear grade cable ageing behavior and mechanical study. In this paper, the requirements as well as the key technology of simultaneously ageing test were analyzed based on the reference and standard survey, the device was designed and then tests were carried out to verify the test accuracy. The practice test result proved that, the ageing test technology developed in this paper can successfully complete the simultaneous ageing test. (authors)
