Description
Revent data on the population of magnetic substates in the inelastic scattering of 43-MeV 160 ions by 56Fe with excitation of the 847-KeV 2+ level in 56Fe are analysed and interpreted by means of a closed-form representation of the distorted-wave theory for inelastic heavy ion scattering
