Characteristics of NPP emergency cooling systems with dissociating coolant

Description
The emergency cooling system is considered operating in the gas-liquid cooling regime for the reactor with supercritical parameters of the coolant. The results of calculation give the range of possible operation of emergency cooling systems. The changes of the basic system parameters under different control rules are shown. The emergency cooling system can operate for a tong time following the gas-liquid cycle, the continuity of the core cooling is attained due to direct-flow regenerator utitization. The obtained results show the possibility of practical realization of conversion of fast gas-cooled reactor with dissociating coolant on cooling with liquid and allow to develop recommendations on selection of optimal algorithms for control of filling-in regimes
