Fast stochastic cooling of batches of 109 particles
Description
Scaling from LEAR where 109 antiprotons are cooled with time constants of the order of a minute, one concludes that cooling times of a second look feasible using a high frequency (4 - 8 GHz) large power (approx. 10 kW total) system with a large number of pick-up and kicker gaps as recently considered by several authors
