Loop-gap cavities for pulsed x-ray ESR spectrometers

Description
This paper describes the cavities with two loops connected via a gap for X-ray ESR spectrometers. The cavities are tunable through ∼ 1 GHz and their coupling to a waveguide can be varied. The optimum microwave power for detecting echo in these cavities is about 10 dB lower that in traditional rectangular cavities
