Processing method for radioactive liquid waste

Description

Radioactive nuclides are separated by using a fibrous activated carbon having an inorganic skeleton and a specific surface area of greater than 600m2/g. The activated carbon described above is excellent in durability against radiation rays and can certainly separate and selectively remove TRU nuclides such as a trace amount of plutonium contained in uranium liquid waste. Accordingly, radioactive liquid wastes can easily be processed which has been difficult so far. (T.M.)
