Toshiba's activities in promoting maintenance technologies for nuclear power plants
Description
The maintenance of nuclear power plants is becoming more important with the increase in number and years of operation of such plants. As a plant supplier, Toshiba is engaged in a broad range of activities to promote maintenance technologies under the company-wide operating plant service system. In the area of plant life maintenance, a variety of engineering and R and D efforts are being undertaken by Toshiba such as preventive maintenance, plant condition monitoring and diagnostics, equipment repair, and plant maintenance information gathering. This paper provides an overview of these activities. (author)
