Static and dynamic structures of halogenated dimethyl ether radical cations: an ESR and MO study

  • 1. Hiroshima Univ. (Japan). Faculty of Engineering

Description

An Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) study was carried out to elucidate static and dynamic structures of some halogenated dimethyl ether radical cations (CH3OCH2X+ and CH2XOCH2X+, X=F or Cl) generated in halocarbon matrices by γ-rays irradiation at 77 K. The ESR hf structures were successfully identified with the help of selectively deuterated compounds. (author)
