Sorption of vanadium(4), vanadium(5), and molybdenum(6) on silica chemically modified with iminodiacetic acid groups

  • 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

Sorption of vanadium(4), vanadium(5), and molybdenum(5) on silica chemically modified with iminodiacetic acid groups was stuided as a function of the pH of the aqueous solution, time, and the concentration of metal ions in the aqueous phase. The metal-to-ligand ratio in the sorbent phase was determined. The recovery of vanadium is unaffected by an increase in volume to 0.5 L and an increase in the ionic strength of the solution to 0.5 (NaCl or KCl). 6 refs.; 3 figs
