Calculation of certain thermodynamic characteristics of structure vacancies in refractory compounds of the zirconium and niobium carbide type
Description
By means of statistical thermodynamics with the use of statistical processing of experimental data considered is the process of high temperature vacuum evaporation of refractory compounds of variable composition on the example of zirconium and niobium carbides; found is the type of functional dependence of equilibrium concentration of structural vacancies. Calculated are energies of structural vacancy formation in zirconium and niobium carbides, as well as formation heats of these compounds in the regions of their homogeneity. Comparison of the calculated and experimental data showed a good agreement between them
