Decays of 40min sup(123m)Sn and 6.2 min isomer of 130Sb

  • 1. Saha Inst. of Nuclear Physics, Calcutta (India)

Description

The γ-transitions associated with the 40-min sup(123m)Sn and the 6.2 min sup(130m)Sb are investigated with large volume Ge(Li) detectors. The preliminary analysis of the γ and X-ray spectra recorded on Ge(Li) photon spectrometer give an average value of αk = 0.15 +- 0.015 for 123Sn from four independent measurements. The comparison of this value with the corresponding theoretical value of Hager and Seltzer shows the transition to be wholly M1. Analysis of the energy level transitions in 130Sb shows that the most probable spin-parity of the ground state of the isomer is not less than 9-. (K.B.)
