Description

Charged, massive particles (CHAMPs) have been proposed as a dark matter candidate. The identification of CHAMPs in silicon detectors depends on the nature of the tracks. The range/energy relation for positively charged CHAMPs stopping in silicon is presented, along with the details of the ionization and displacement damage. (orig.)
