Examination of environmental performances of France: conclusions and recommendations

Description
The examination of French environmental performances brings out the reduction of pollution imputed to industrial sector, the use of efficient economic tools, the prevention and the control of pollution in the sectors of air, water and wastes management, the low level of carbon dioxide emissions by inhabitant and by GDP. This report shows that France reacted rapidly to the pressures that industrialization and urban development exerted on environment. (N.C.)
