The recent research progress on 99Mo/99Tcm generator
Description
99Tcm is the most widely used radionuclide in nuclear medicine, which accounts for more than 80% of all diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures. The medical 99Tcm is mainly obtained from 99Tcm generator through methods of precipitation, chromatographic using 99Mo from fission of uranium-235 or (n, γ)99Mo, MEK solvent extraction, electrochemical separation and so on. The development of 99Mo/99Tcm separation and the commonly used methods are reviewed in this paper. (authors)
