Impacts of nuclear submarine dismantling and salvaging on the ecological state of the site of the Russian state center of nuclear shipbuilding and nearby territories

Data of long-standing observations were generalized and comparison analysis on effect of the recovery and maintenance of atomic submarines on radioecological situation at Severodvinsk was made. Estimation of the possible changing radioecological situation in connection with the increasing pace of the recovery at the Severodvinsk plants was carried out. The analysis demonstrates that with the increasing recovery works by the factor of 5 contamination will be no more than 0.001 % of maximum allowable concentration to 2010. Existing radioecological situation at Severodvinsk and nearby territories is unchanged by the planned increasing recovery works of submarines
