Structures of V2C and V2(C,N) ordered modifications through neutron diffraction data

Description
Neutron diffraction investigation V2C subcarbide and V2(C,N) subcarbonitride structures is carried out. Ordered phases modifications, and concentration and temperature ranges of existence of ordered phases formed in these compounds are determined. Their peculiarities are indicated and analysed and compared with the corresponding data on 5 group transition metal binary subcarbides. From the results obtained strong evidence for the correlation between modifications of ordered phases in Me25,6X (X=C,N) and their atomic radii ratio rX/rMe is shown
