Sensitivity of nuclear power plant structural response to aircraft impact

Description
In this paper a sensitivity study for aircraft impact is performed concerning the excitation of internal components, with particular regard to nonlinear structural material behaviour in the impact area. The nonlinear material values are varied within the bandwidth of suitable material strength, depending on local stiffness pre-calculations. The analyses are then performed on a globally discretized three-dimensional finite element model of a nuclear power plant, using a relatively fine mesh. For specified nodal points results are evaluated by comparing their response spectra. (Author)

Apresenta-se um estudo de sensibilidade para impactos de avioes em centrais nucleares considerando-se a excitacao de componentes internos com particular interese no compotamento estrutural nao linear da area de impacto. Os valores do material nao linear variam dentro de uma faixa de tensao do material, dependendo de calculos anteriores de flexibilidade local. As analises sao entao feitas com um modelo tridimensional de elemento finito para usinas nucleares usando malha relativamente fina. Para pontos nodais especificos os resultados sao avaliados comparando-se os seus espectro de resposta. (E.G.)Additional details
