Description
The equations we investigate describe the nonlinear and nonlocal interaction of waves in 1+1 dimensions with potential applicability. Although these equations are integrable, the solution of the initial and boundary value problem requires a judicious use of spectral methods. In particular, we show that spectral data evolve linearly only for special boundary values. (fast track communication)
